Job Summary/Description:

Are you ready to cover everything from tornadoes and severe weather to snow and everything in between on Lubbocks dominant legacy station KCBD NewsChannel 11 KCBD has an opening for a parttime meteorologist position that will handle occasional fillin duties.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Be a team player
Analyze raw data observations guidance and other inputs to create an accurate forecast
Prepare and deliver creative compelling forecasts onair and on digital platforms
Cover severe weather as it happens on TV and on digital
Help develop graphics produce weathercasts and assist other members of the weather team

Qualifications/Requirements:

Empathy for others. A teambuilder with a dedication to collaboration and getting it right.
Degree or certificate in meteorology or related science
Seal of approval from AMS or NWA preferred
Must work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to represent the station professionally in the community and newsroom
Valid drivers license and excellent driving record
