Job Description

Position Title:

OnCall Events Supervisor

Position Type:

Regular

Hiring Range:

$36.00 per hour: compensation will be based on education experience skills relevant to the role and internal equity.

Pay Frequency:

Hourly

Purpose
The Production Supervisor provides administration of multiple events management of the event
and event staff client/patron relations and technical expertise for SCUPresents Performing
Art Center departments. The technical proficiency may be in any of the following areas:
technical (lighting sound rigging staging) Frontofhouse operations or administration for
university or offcampus users and patrons of the Mayer Theatre Fess Parker Studio
Theatre Recital Hall or other designated performing arts venues.


I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A. Provide technical expertise and overall managerial direction for events
performances concerts and lectures.
B. Serve as an event supervisor overseeing the event supervisors oncall and student
staff for simultaneous SCUPresents events.
C. Responsible for the logistical and productionrelated aspects of events
performances concerts and lectures.
D. Serve as the liaison between SCUPresents and the client/patrons for events and
performances.
E. Assist with the acquisition oversight training and scheduling of event staff
F. Other duties as assigned.


II. Qualifications
A. BA in technical theatre Administration Operations or 2 years experience preferred.
B. Demonstrate aptitude in at least one performing arts computerized system including
but not limited to: technical (lighting sound) or operational: (box office rental) and
administrative.
C. A minimum of 2 years of experience managing the work of others is preferred.
D. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
E. Flexible evening and weekend availability is imperative.
F. Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints.
G. Must have knowledge of relevant safety regulations required.
H. Able to complete the general physical requirements as described for each position by
the specific department. May include physical exertion which may include lifting
kneeling and bending of knees and back ability to work at elevated heights using a
ladder extension ladder and lift (technical).
I. Understanding and support of the Jesuit tradition of education and a commitment to
