What We Are Looking For:

Fresche Solutions is seeking an experienced IBM i application development consultant to provide expert consulting services for clients seeking to maintain or extend their IBM i (AS/400 environments. The ideal candidate will have a combination of deep IBM i technical expertise business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.

This role involves leading a team working on short and longterm projects while developing new business opportunities at existing client organizations.

What You Will Do:

• Analyze clients existing IBMi environments and provide strategic recommendations for enhancement optimization and/or modernization.
• Create and present executivelevel proposals to clients.
• Lead and balance workloads of a team of IBMi developers working on client assignments.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Provide technical leadership in RPG CL SQL and other IBMirelated technologies.

What You Bring:

• 10 years in IBMi (AS/400 software development.
• 5 years of management experience bonus if the experience was in consulting.
• Command of RPG (including freeformat RPG) DB2 SQL RDi and VS Code.
• Experience with ILE concepts and modular programming.
• Knowledge of web services APIs and other integration technologies.
• Understanding of modern development methodologies (Agile DevOps).
• Experience with IBMi SDLC tools (Aldon Turnover Robot etc..
• Excellent documentation communication and presentation skills.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Bachelors degree and MBA in business computer science or related field.
• Previous consulting or clientfacing experience.
• Background in a variety of industry applications such as Infor JDEdwards and similar.
• Knowledge of Java .NET Python or other modern programming languages.
• Experience using AI to accelerate code generation to speed application development.
• Experience with application modernization projects.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• ITIL or PMP certification.
