Job Description

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED AND:

  • 12 months physical therapy aide or healthcarerelated experience.

Skills:

  • Must be detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be schedule oriented able to work under time constraints and complete work within deadlines.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to maintain positive and professional relationships with coworkers.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of computers.
  • Must have ability to problem solve.

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • May be required to lift bend stoop and carry.
  • Frequent exposure to pressure/stress caused by busy periods and deadlines.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Two years college/Associate Degree
  • Current BLS certification
  • Electronic Medical Records experience
  • Courses taken in Anatomy/Physiology
  • Direct patient care
  • Customer Service Experience

OU Health Services is the ambulatory care facility on the Norman campus providing primary care services to students faculty staff and dependents of all ages. We provide inhouse medical laboratory and xray services have a physical therapy department and a fullservice pharmacy.

POSITION INFORMATION: Assists physical therapists in the daily operation of the clinic. Helps create home exercise programs. Creates organizes and scans medical charts. Updates patient referrals. Creates patient schedules. Assists with exercises and modalities. Maintains Physical Therapy supply/bracing inventory. Supervises student assistants. Maintains order and cleanliness of the Physical Therapy clinic and does laundry.
