Product Lead - Verification

About the Team:

The Verification Group at Wise is on a mission to enhance our KYC/Onboarding experience. We aim to minimise these three things:

• Reducing financial crime by improving the operations or technology of our reviews to make them more effective at spotting bad actors.

• Reducing cost of processing by improving our operational efficiency for example by automating our reviews and handling process.

• Reducing friction and increasing conversion by making the verification experience effortless and reducing the costs associated with it.

The group is composed of around 50 dedicated professionals spread across three crossfunctional teams all working towards improving handling time automation and friction by leveraging technology.

About the Role:

As the Product Lead of the Verification Group you will lead a dynamic and crossfunctional team dedicated to improving our onboarding experience and making it more efficient. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Verification Group in initiatives aimed improving our KYC/Onboarding platform

• Collaborate closely with Product Analytics Data Science Operations and Compliance teams to integrate improvements across the product lifecycle.

• Oversee the of key projects including decreasing friction for customers automating reviews and assisting analysts making the right decisions in reviews.

• Provide strategic direction while being handson in project leadership and .

• Being a key connection between global and regional product teams and operational teams. Interacting with almost all product teams at Wise gaining a deep understanding of all of our products.

Qualifications :

• Youve built products at scale Youve worked on a product with thousands or even millions of customers. Youre able to navigate the product and organisational complexity of a product at scale.

• You have leadership experience Youve led product teams before and have experience hiring and growing the team. You have hired product managers of different seniority levels (IC and Lead level) and successfully onboarded them.

• Youre hands on You thrive as a playercoach. You are able to operate at many levels of detail flipping between executing as an individual contributor and leading a wider team. You have a superpower as an individual contributor whether its going deep on data analysis design regulations or engineering.

• Youre datadriven You are able to selfserve with data and use it to both identify opportunities and measure your impact. You can get the entire company behind you by telling stories with data.

• You have fresh ideas You dont accept the status quo but are interested in solving problems in novel ways. You are able to communicate the impact of those ideas and formulate plans to implement them.
