A postdoctoral position is available to work in optical imaging with projects in pancreatic brain and ovarian cancer. The position is in the laboratory of Dr. Tayyaba Hasan at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School. The broad project is to develop novel combination therapies in a highly collaborative environment. One focus of this position is on developing new and improving existing optical imaging techniques to guide treatments but a diversity of interests in cancer biology is necessary. Mechanismbased targeted therapies are also an important component of the laboratorys research.
Candidates with a background in optical imaging design and development an interest in cancer biology and targeted therapies familiarity with cell biological techniques an understanding of oncogenic pathways and experience with animal models of cancer are desirable.
This opportunity will support career growth and will encompass learning a large number of biological and optical techniques participation in group seminars and grant writing. Candidates must be energetic selfmotivated and capable of multitasking.
