Amazon is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager to join the Accounting Technology Group responsible for contributing to the launch of automation and optimization initiatives across the Accounting organization. With the rapid growth of the company it is essential to make continued investments in process improvement automation and technology. This role will have a globally impacting scope and will partner with the worldwide Accounting teams and technical partners. A successful candidate in this position will have experience in accounting automation aptitude for project management technology internal controls and process design.
This position supports and can directly influence the implementation of accounting technology automation solutions to drive process improvement reduce manual effort and improve financial controllership. It requires the ability to interpret accounting requirements and transform those to a technical solution with the support of technical partners. The Finance Transformation Manager will collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders from accounting business finance and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions to complex problems.
The candidate will benefit from having operated successfully in a fastpaced global organization. Strong prioritization and communication skills are required in representing the accounting organizations responsibility of financial controllership to internal stakeholders from nonfinancial disciplines. Practical project management experience is required along with demonstrable exposure to leading and delivering on technical projects.

Key job responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to influence automation design and implementation with financial best practices
Gather and document detailed functional accounting requirements and drive the prioritization and of technical deliverables
Define a project plan and think critically to identify evaluate and communicate on potential risks and obstacles early in the project lifecycle
Define and execute on the prelaunch user acceptance testing and lead the automation launch readiness assessment
Prioritize effectively to manage a diverse portfolio of projects supporting manual effort reduction and process efficiency while maintaining financial control
Streamline program delivery across the accounting organization by standardizing project communications and documentation ensuring consistent scalable global processes

Day to day activities will look like as follows:
Project Management
Delivering accounting requirements to business and technical teams
Facilitate and review user acceptance testing
Communicate program updates to relevant stakeholders
Bachelors degree in BI finance engineering statistics computer science mathematics finance or equivalent quantitative field
5 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
5 years of program or project management experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams
Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
CPA
Masters degree or Accounting/Finance certification (CMA or CPA)
PMP Certification
Experience supporting accounting/finance customers to set and effectively manage expectations project deliverables and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise
Experience in finance projects including requirement gathering and testing in environment with distributed systems
Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
