As a Product Owner and Business Analyst (PO/BA) you will be joining a collaborative project agile team within the Master Data Management group. Our team designs business systems that store and manage core reference data including location customer and vendor information for our global network. Expeditors has branches around the world so the importance of data integrity and consistency is paramount. This is an opportunity for you to be on a highperforming team that serves as the centerpoint for consistent realtime data for our systems.
As the Product Owner and Business Analyst on the 10person agile team you will be responsible for prioritizing the team backlog helping the team to understand stories and acceptance criteria and working with business stakeholders. By working with product managers to define the business features you will have the knowledge to help the team understand the business requirements create business object models and analyze the data to help create valuable solutions. As the bridge between business and development you will be translating the business needs into realistic development work.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the Agile team with business knowledge and analyst expertise
- Help the team to deliver a minimum viable product that meets the users needs
- Collaborate with MDM Product Managers to define business features to be ready for development with requirements and acceptance criteria
- Build refine and maintain the team backlog in alignment with the program vision
- Communicate business details to the Agile team
- Collaborate with other Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to resolve dependencies coordinate efforts and deliver crossfunctional initiatives and technical enablers
- Analyze and decompose complex business requirements to build software systems and influence design for testability and scalability
- Participate in team demos reviews and retrospectives with an eye toward continuous improvement
This position is onsite and will reside in the greater Seattle WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree
- 5 years of software business analysis experience
- Working knowledge of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) with the ability to effectively communicate business requirements through Business Object Models State Diagrams and other UML diagrams
- Proficiency with the system development lifecycle including agile techniques and other methodologies
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Effective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive towards clarity and consensus
- Management of multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to compose concepts ideas and designs into actionable/measureable deliverables
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to recognize and mitigate risks
- Desire to help the team succeed as a whole
- Customer service mindset
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- System or data analysis experience
- Understanding of the transportation and global logistics industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Azure Dev Ops SharePoint
- Passion for technology
- Experience as a Product Owner for an Agile team
- Experience working with reference data and data governance products
- Comfortable working on production systems under audit like those under S404

Additional Information :
Expected base salary: $85000 to $135000
