Job Description
General
Provides direct patient care manages groups of patients and provides a safe and therapeutic milieu. Direct patient care services to include assessment planning monitoring advocacy psychosocial rehab services and direct intervention. Under the direction of the Program Coordinator the Clinical Counselor is responsible for group therapy care as directed by the multidisciplinary treatment plan. The Clinical Counselor will plan and lead groups focusing on coping skills social skills and selfesteem for children with Behavioral Health problems. Clinical Counselors will be involved in treatment team meetings and work closely with Social Workers psychiatrists and Nurses to assist children and adolescents in rehabilitating back into the school and home environment
