PartTime Laboratory Technician Freeport TX
SUMMARY: Oil and Petroleum Laboratory Technicians perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid liquid or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control process control or product development by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree preferred for some technician and other laboratory roles.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to execute basic algebra as it applies to the role.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES LICENSE AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid drivers license required.
