The Opportunity:
UCF IT seeks applicants for a Unified Communications Engineer I. The Unified Communications Engineer I will be responsible for providing technical support for Office 365 issues managing office 365 environments troubleshooting and resolving problems related to Office 365 applications and implementing configurations and updates. Daily tasks will include responding to support requests performing administrative tasks related to Office 365 and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 Administration: Daytoday operations of the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
Technical Support: Provide tier 1 technical support for Microsoft 365related issues acting as the first point for problems that require troubleshooting and resolution.
Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training sessions for endusers and IT staff on Microsoft 365 capabilities best practices and new features.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments. Understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and service capabilities.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL preferably using Service Now Incidents Tasks Problems Knowledge CMDB Reporting Dashboards.
Proven track record to manage support and request tickets within SLAs and drive Microsoft support cases to closure.

Ability to navigate a complex organization.
