Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) insert inpatient unit name consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of patients will work as part of the interdisciplinary team based on licensure title and competencies. The RN seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice. The RN provides leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associates Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Current and valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas
- Excellent communication skills basic computer skills strong work ethic and accountability
- 2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
- Current BLS

The RN seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice. The RN provides leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards. The RN works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM). Promotion is based on years of experience satisfactory performance appraisals and recommendation by manager.
Employee must successfully complete a UAMSsponsored conflict management training to identify prevent and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as nonescalation deescalation personal protection from physical s and physical alternatives within six months of hire.
PRI Inpatient Units include the General Adult Inpatient Unit the Womens Unit the Child Diagnostic Unit and the offcampus Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit.
