Job Description

Senior Director Collaborative Practice and Clinical Education

Holland Bloorview is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a leader in childhood rehabilitation. They advance participation and inclusion for children of all abilities across the life course bringing together exceptional health care providers researchers educators clients families and system partners to provide the optimal care experience. The Bloorview Research Institute and the Teaching and Learning Institute are located onsite and actively support the integration of cuttingedge research and teaching with frontline care to improve the quality of life for children and youth with disabilities and their families today and tomorrow. Providing both inpatient and outpatient services Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital provides exceptional care for clients and families. They care for kids with disabilities kids needing rehabilitation after illness or trauma and kids whose medical complexity requires a kind of care they cant get elsewhere else. With a mix of services not offered anywhere else in Ontario Holland Bloorview partners with clients and families to provide the best interprofessional care within their walls and to prepare families for life beyond them. Through teaching and research they expand how the best care is defined and take those new insights around the globe.

The Senior Director Collaborative Practice and Clinical Education will be a transformational leader who shapes the future of interprofessional practice clinical education and knowledge translation at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. They will champion collaborative practice across all health disciplines strengthen mentorship opportunities and advance the Clinical Scholars model to enhance research education and professional development. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role within a worldclass pediatric academic teaching center recognized as a leader in childrens health. In close collaboration with clinical teams professional practice leaders and academic partners the Senior Director will advance interprofessional collaboration and knowledge translation ensuring that all disciplines have the resources and support to excel. This leader will be instrumental in expanding evidencebased practice strengthening partnerships and advocating for the professional development of clinicians. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation the Senior Director will ensure that clinical excellence research integration and compassionate client and familycentered care remain at the heart of all initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a regulated health professional with a strong background in interprofessional collaboration clinical education and evidencebased practice. They will be a proven leader with at least five years of progressive management experience and a minimum of seven years experience working in practice leadership. They will hold a masters degree in a health profession with registration in a Regulatory Health Profession College preferred. They are an influential and ethical leader who brings a transparent and engaging approach to decisionmaking ensuring that frontline clinicians feel heard and supported. With experience leading interprofessional teams they are adept at mentorship professional development and fostering a culture of learning. They understand the complexities of health professions regulation and have a proven ability to advocate for resources that enhance clinical training and development. A strategic thinker and relationship builder they are passionate about integrating research and education into clinical practice ensuring that all disciplines regulated and unregulated have the tools to thrive. With a deep commitment to diversity equity and inclusion they will work to expand training initiatives champion inclusive practices and enhance the visibility and impact of collaborative practice across Holland Bloorview.
