GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Want to join something GREAT and make a differenceAre you interested in being on the cutting edge of Wildfire Aviation Initial Attack As a SEAT Manager you will be responsible for the daily management employment briefing and recordkeeping of 24 Single Engine Air Tankers pilots and facilities at the direction of the State Assistant Fire Management Officer(AFMO). These assets are an essential element of the Office of State Lands and Investments Forestry Divisions Strategic Wildland Fire Aviation Initial Attack Response Plan. This position operates with a high degree of independence to provide timely safe and accurate aerial support to Wyomings wildland firefighters. Qualifications


PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:


**Candidates will be considered asSEAT Manager (SEMG)



KNOWLEDGE:


  • Single Engine Air Tanker Manager (SEMG) Trainee

  • Ramp Manager (RAMP)

  • Fixed Wing Parking Tender (FWPT)

  • Basic Level of Computer automation skills

  • 1 year of supervisor experience with at least 2 personnel

  • 2 fire seasons qualified in the Incident Command System for Wildfire operations.

  • Understanding and use of Interagency Aviation plans and contracts.

  • Knowledge of personnel management principles.

  • Skills in evaluating others abilities and assessing training needs.

  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.

NOTES:


  • FLSA: NonExempt
  • The employment period is from approximately April 2025 to October 2025 but may be extended to support the agencys mission.
  • This is a seasonal hourly position.
  • Housing is furnished at the Duncan Ranch Helibase.
  • Additional benefits may be available depending on the length of the season.
