Job Description
Morris Animal Inn is a familyowned and operated luxury pet resort offering dogs & cats the finest in lodging grooming training & daycare services. Our Grooming Salon is growing and were looking for PartTime Dog Bathers to join our team at either our Morristown or Warren location.
No prior professional experience is required but a natural comfort around dogs of all sizes is a must! The hourly pay starts at $15.50 per hour. Additional pay considerations for candidates with professional pet care or grooming experience! This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in exploring a career as a grooming professional as we offer an Education Assistant Program that may cover the cost of obtaining grooming certifications for eligible employees!
What youll be doing
- Bathing drying and brushing dogs using companyprovided professional products and equipment
- Cleaning dogs ears trimming nails and teeth brushing
- Closely monitoring dogs during the grooming process to ensure safety procedures are being followed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area adhering to all sanitation and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional customer service and a positive experience for both pets and their owners
- Gathering necessary information from pet owners and updating records
What youll need to apply
- A natural comfort around dogs and the ability to safely handle breeds of varying sizes and temperaments with confidence and patience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Desire to work in a cohesive team environment
- Availability to work on weekends and some holidays
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions/labels
