Your Mission is:
The Game Science & Machine Learning Team (GSML) is adding a talented Data Scientist. As part of the team your mission is to put science into decisionmaking. Year one responsibilities include:
Proactively perform data exploration to understand player behavior and identify opportunities for improving ingame features
Partner with the Product Management Team Studio Central Design and Engineering to prioritize areas of opportunity to drive engagement and monetization and enable easier experimentation
Measure the impact of features promotions store offerings and events through experimentation and causal inference to fuel recommendations
Develop novel analytics to qualitatively deduce and draw conclusions from player behavioral data that directly influences game design player engagement monetization and retention of our live titles
Develop and monitor operational metrics to track the health of a live multimilliondollar service business
Democratize and socialize learnings by contributing to a centralized repository that informs future game design and is carried across titles and franchises

As a high performer you will:
display a unique blend of project skills and business savvy; a passion for exceptional within a dynamic environment and the flexibility and focus to achieve results
BA/BS degree required with technical focus (Masters/PhD in Statistics Econometrics Behavioral Economics Cognitive Psychology Industrial Engineering/Operations Research Mathematicss or a related quantitative field preferred)
1 years of total experience in analytics
Strong understanding of AB testing experimentation and causal inference methodologies
Strong technical skills with SQL Python/R for data analysis; demonstrated programming skills either in data science or software development settings a plus
Experience with distributed analytic processing technologies (Spark Presto Hive)
Experience with predictive and prescriptive modeling a plus
Skilled atderivingnarrative from data andcommunicating the results effectively
Good product sense with a solid understanding of user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming entertainment/ecommerce service providers or mobile appsa plus

You can learn more by visiting the U.S. the standard base pay range for this role is $71300.00 $131906.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates new hire compensation is negotiable.
