Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individual households to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
Prepares and operates High Pressure Water Jet to process/produce high quality products.
Responsible for operation loading and unloading material and parts proving programs operating controls setting offsets deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
Make necessary adjustments to offsets and maintain part quality throughout the run.
Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine within capabilities controls or control media as required to insure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to Management.
Communicates with management production control quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Intermediate knowledge of tool holders cutting tools boring bars fixtures inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
Experience with a variety of materials (aluminum stainless steels titanium and nickel based alloys) a plus
Capable of lifting/moving 3050 lbs

The successful candidate will have experience in setting up and machining tight tolerance aerospace components. The desired candidate will have experience in a fast paced machining environment and will have the ability to respond quickly to interruptions and requests to support test teams.

The base pay for this position ranges from $70900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $117000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
