Job Description
Innovate Carolinas Data Intelligence Hub team provides database support impact metrics research and analysis data cleaning press monitoring and related services to Innovate Carolina its partners and UNC innovators. The team has one temporary position for summer 2025. Duties include: * Work with Database Administrators and Program Management staff to understand the database structures and detailed data dictionaries. * Work with data sets to clean and format data. * Create edit and update howto guides and documentation about your project(s). * Skills and experience that align with projects focused on: o analysis of existing data in the Data Hub platform using the databases Excel Tableau and/or other tools; o identify and fill gaps in data through research and data mining; and o help develop effective visualizations to demonstrate complex data analytics for stakeholders. Resources will include subscription databases UNC Libraries additional Innovate Carolina resources) company websites LinkedIn government sources and other external data sources. Staff mentors will help interns raise skill level to advanced/expert level with these resources. * Work with our data team and communications team to analysis demographic data prepared by Carolina Demography in context with an Innovate Carolina benchmarking project. This will be a hybrid position. Innovate Carolina team members work together as a team and keep in constant communication.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Candidates must have experience in data analysis Excel Tableau and Python or R.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Experience with business data analysis is preferred.
