SUMMARY

To assist in delivering accurate processing of product over multiple work centers. To provide essential information regarding accuracy of information on process records and inventory locations to leadership. Overall to improve effectiveness of thruput processes for all milestones (wax through dock) within the plant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Manufacturing Process Verification:

Objective

  1. To accurately review process router information to aid shipments in a timely manner.

Typical Activities

  1. Communicates daily with planning sales and quality to ensure transparency of products through final processing milestone.
  2. Verifies that internal requirements of QMS have been met for all workorders that complete processing.
  3. Approves product to be transported from the plant to distribution center.
  4. Tracks and reports violations of work instructions.
  5. Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certified. (LPC specific)

Safety:

Objective

  1. To take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.

Typical Activities

  1. Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
  2. Safely operates all equipment and tools.
  3. Identifies and reports safety problems.

Training:

  1. Training is provided on the job.

Additional Plant Assistance:

  1. When appropriate may be asked to help with other activities across the plant that aid in the throughput or quality of product.
  2. Must perform cycle counting to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and casting values. (LPC specific)
  3. Supports drivers and material handlers to ensure timely part movement. (LPC specific)

QUALIFICATION

  1. Previous shipping department experience required with manufacturing shipping experience preferred.
  2. Working knowledge of manufacturing process routers.
  3. Basic knowledge of inventory systems preferably computerized systems.
  4. Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
  5. Ability to organize workloads efficiently and has good to attention to detail.
