Achieve Test Preps mission is to make higher education more accessible and affordable for working adults. Achieve offers live online instruction 1on1 tutoring and mentoring and flexible course schedules that empower nontraditional college students to test out of college credits and earn higher level professional licenses.
Role Overview:
Achieve Test Prep is seeking an eLearning Social Science & Humanities Instructor to prepare customers to test out of traditional Social Science and Humanities courses pass their CLEP and DSST exams and help them stay motivated on their journey to earn their college degrees. The suitable candidate should have knowledge of the following courses and be able to teach them: Introduction to Psychology Developmental Psychology Sociology American Government Art of the Western World Ethics in America US History Humanities and World Religions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Teach assigned schedules and/or act as a substitute when main instructors are not available.
Present lessons in a manner that aids understanding and engagement
Motivate customers to succeed
Collaborate with other instructors and team members and participate in meetings
Follow customers journeys and inform the eLearning team of noteworthy observations
Provide oneonone tutoring for customers
Perform other eLearningrelated tasks
Desired Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor s degree in Sociology Psychology or other Social Science courses.
Three or more years of experience teaching Social Science courses with at least one year of virtual teaching experience.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems such as Zoom Google doc Google Slides and other eLearning applications
Ability to teach different types of learners in realtime in a manner that helps them understand
Excellent audience engagement skills
Strong Internet connection a functional computer and a noisecanceling headset
Efficiency professionalism and dependability
Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices with a willingness to follow Achieve Test Prep s eLearning policies and procedures.
Job Details:
Schedule: Preferred availability: At least 5 hours overlap between 5 PM 1 AM EST (Flexible Availability between 9 AM and 5 PM EST is also a plus)
Remote: 100 Online
Three or more years of experience teaching Social Science courses with at least one year of virtual teaching experience. Education
A Bachelor s degree in Sociology, Psychology, or other Social Science courses.
