The base pay scale for this position is $47.40 $51.25. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing
Clinical Nutritionist I Lifestyle Medicine Program
Schedule
Days: MondayFriday
Hours: 8 am 4 pm with flexibility to meet programs needs
Position Summary
Candidate will work exclusively with the Lifestyle Medicine Program (LSM) at HSS by providing comprehensive outpatient nutrition care developing and implementing curriculum and programming. Will work in collaboration with team of physicians advanced practice providers physical therapists exercise kinesiologists health coaches care navigators counselors and smoking cessation experts.
HSS Lifestyle Medicine aims to improve a patients overall health by helping to make lifestyle changes. These strategies have been proven to treat reverse and prevent lifestylerelated chronic diseases while also improving musculoskeletal pain and function. The program includes education and support to improve on the six pillars of health including nutrition sleep physical activity stress management social connections and reduction or avoidance of risky substances.
Skills/Position Requirements
- Strong interpersonal clinical critical thinking communication and customer service skills
- Ability to take initiative work independently with good time management
- Current and/or prior experience with both adult and adolescent populations
- Experience with Epic preferred
Responsibilities
- Establishing and providing nutrition care for LSM patients
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the interprofessional LSM team
- Use whole food plantpredominantbased training to enhance patient health and behavior change through 1:1 patient care and group programming
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communications with LSM team
Required Credentials
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN)
Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State and New Jersey (once available)
American College of Lifestyle Medicine certification obtained or in process; mandatory within 1 year from hire
Masters degree preferred
