Job Description
- Masters Degree Nursing or Physician Assistant required and
- Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant accepted If graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program prior to January 2021 required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required
- 6 Months as an APP in an urgent care or emergency department setting required or
- 1 Year Family practice or related field required
- Suturing experience strongly preferred
- RN Registered Nurse with the state of Texas upon hire requiredand
- NP Nurse Practitioner with Texas Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the Texas State Board upon hire requiredand
- National Certification or eligible for certification as Nurse Practitioner upon hire requiredOr
- PA Physician Assistant with thestate of Texas upon hire required and
- Texas Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the Texas State Board upon hire required and
- National Certification or eligible for certification as Physician Assistant upon hire required and
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license upon hire required
- BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support (through AHA or American Red Cross) maintained every 2 years required within 30 days of hire
- Performs and provides treatments for minor acute illness consumer examinations making initial assessment initiating treatment and referring to appropriate center of care when applicable.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as xrays electrocardiograms and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
- Instructs and counsels consumers by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Develops and implements consumer management plans records progress notes and assists in provision of continuity of care. May be required to supervise ancillary staff.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals other medications and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions and refers consumers to specialist and to relevant consumer care options as appropriate.
- Demonstrates good organizational skills in coordinating services with coworkers and other departments/services.
- Responds to stressful situations in a calm rational manner and cooperates with all to facilitate integration of services.
- Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust comfort understanding and relationships with consumers and the secondary guest(s) and inline with consumer and guest service standards.

- Preliminary Interpretation of Plain Films

Work location:Must be able to float to multiple Breeze Urgent Care sites
Work hours: PRN (As Needed) will need to work minimum 2 shifts a month with 1 major and 1 minor holiday availability per year
