Position Summary:
As a member of the Marketing Department the Design & Production Manager is primarily responsible for the creation of a wide variety of print and digital marketing materials and oversight of initial creative concepting. This position is also responsible for guiding the art direction of various larger photo and video projects for the organization. This position is responsible for the planning and project management of all print production both internal and Design & Production Manager is a vital part of the Marketing Department and COCA providing necessary materials to further COCAs programs and brand.

- Develop compelling and strategically aligned graphic designs for digital and print materials including social media website content marketing campaigns direct mail and branding initiatives for COCAs classes camps shows special events and fundraising efforts.
- Use existing COCA brand standards to collaborate with internal clients on the creative direction concept design and production of a variety of print and digital pieces including program guides brochures advertisements direct mail promotional items flyers website graphics newsletters presentations annual reports eblasts and other materials as required.
- Develop new standard templates and forms for the organization and reuse/revise as requested.
- Create images and layouts for email marketing efforts in collaboration with the Content Marketing Coordinator Digital Marketing Coordinator and Communications Manager.
- Manage COCA print shop to ensure high quality cost effective and timely production of COCAs printed projects.
- Manage workflow of print projects to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide print production quality assurance through test prints and review entire project from concept through delivery.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed to complete print projects.
- Maintain and archive designrelated files.
- Create and maintain an detailed publication schedule that establishes production timelines and deadlines for print and digital pieces with consideration for the need to be flexible adjust to issues & provide alternatives.
- Maintain outside print/production vendor relationships obtain bids prepare files for print and schedule printing/production to meet deadlines and budget goals.
- Maintain internal print production scheduling preparing files and physical production to meet deadlines for all possible internal projects surrounding events performances etc.
- Manage the direct mail process from beginning to end. Begin with strategic plan and budget considerations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders printers and mail houses. Advise on the sourcing of targeted mailing lists guide proofing and seek timely written approvals at agreed upon steps throughout the process.
- Manage print production projects by coordinating with internal departments to ensure proper approval before beginning the printing process.

Education and/or Qualifications:
- Three 3 to five 5 years of design experience required.
- Bachelors degree in graphic design Marketing or Communications required.
- Exceptional project and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and regularly multitask.
- Proven knowledge of print production and graphic design techniques and standards.
- Extensive experience with InDesign and the entire Adobe Creative Suite is required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Canon Lite Press printer is preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently required to walk stand bend kneel stoop communicate reach and manipulate objects.
- The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis such as files books office equipment etc. and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computer keyboard calculator and standard office equipment.
- This position may require nights and weekends working.
