Quant Engineer Analyst
Northern Trust Asset Management Bangalore
Summary:
The Quantitative Strategies team are looking to augment its research and analytical capabilities and are looking to hire a partner that can create scalable and cutting edge analytics and data science solutions. The technology and analytics focused individual will help create tools that will enable the growth of the quantitative strategies business.
Major Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Quantitative Strategies team with the development and support of analytical systems and tools that support various functions such as research portfolio management strategies marketing and index services.
Enhance the existing technology infrastructure to make it more robust and scalable.
Identify innovative solutions to complex problems and advocate for their implementation to your team by communicating your ideas in a clear and concise manner
Works within guidelines and policies.
Work together with internal stakeholders to understand business requirement and provide timely updates on the progress.
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience in platform development and analytics preferably in financial services.
Understanding of Data Analytics APIs and Cloud Infrastructure.
Basic understanding of Asset Classes Investment Strategies Portfolio Construction and Analytical Tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with portfolio managers research investment sales and servicing sustainable investing and product teams.
Knowledge of object oriented programming Python or equivalent preferred.
Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree required; CFA or progress towards preferred
14 years prior experience in a related capacity or obtained through academic coursework preferred
14 year experience in Python Databricks Azure PySpark Power BI SQL or similar analytics and data visualizations tools
Eligibility
24 Months as a Technical Coordinator /Associate Consultant to move as a Team Leader/Consultant
Movement within TL and Consultant Level will be 12 months
