Job Description Summary:

The System and Trade Analysis group at Draper is seeking a Digital Engineering Solutions Architect to develop next generation Digital Engineering capabilities for domains such as: strategic deterrent systems missile defense systems hypersonic missiles space systems precision guided munitions and autonomous air/sea vehicles. Our multidisciplinary teams innovate and develop solutions for full system development lifecycle from trade studies to concept and architecture design to integration to testing and operation.
Draper has adopted an integrated modeldriven digital mindset in solving Systems Engineering problems spanning the entire lifecycle. From earlylifecycle conceptual system design and architecture detailed modeling modeldriven customer reviews verification and validation integration and testing to deployment surveillance and performance monitoring Draper has a suite of Digital Engineering solution needs across our projects.

For this role we need candidates with broad interests in Modelbased Engineering and in the trinity of data architecture advanced computing and intelligent algorithms to develop digital capabilities such as Digital twin and digital thread for our projects. Our thinking spans the entire gamut from asdesigned to asdeployed lifecycle phases in supporting uncompromised delivery of solutions.

The ideal candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The candidate will have the ability to become knowledgeable in various problem domains identify relevant modeling and analysis techniques develop or integrate multidomain qualitative models and present results that support systemlevel analysis performance tradeoffs and decisionmaking. Communications and interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role.

The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers engineers managers and other stakeholders of all relevant disciplines is a must. Flexibility to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities will be required. We value continuous learning and professional growth.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
Independently execute system engineering lifecycle assignments; concept and architecture design integration testing and operation under the oversight of program leadership.
Provide content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
Adapt appropriately to changes in program priorities and requirements.
Identify challenges associated with assigned work and communicate them to project leadership.
Continues to expand their depth/knowledge in their technical discipline through formal and informal learning.
Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment including stakeholders and external partners.
Contribute to translation of requirements into technical and architectural decisions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelors degree in Aerospace Electrical Mechanical or other relevant Engineering field. Masters degree preferred.

Experience
Requires 03 years experience in systems analysis or related.
Experience in use of MBSE tools such as SysML knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink a plus.
Experience in integrating descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools a plus.

Additional Job Description:

The required qualifications for this job include:

  • 1 2 or more years of experience in Digital Engineering using sound Systems Engineering principles
  • Experience in use of MBSE tools such as SysML Knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink a plus. Experience in integrating descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools a plus.
  • Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Trade Space Exploration (TSE) Machine Learning and Data Science.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and present senior level communications for internal and external customers.
  • Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment including stakeholders and external partners. Contribute to translation of requirements into technical and architectural decision
