Job Description
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid/Onsite Schedule:3 days/weekonsite
Contract Length: 1 year
The Azure Architect will advise on architecture and security considerations for Azure including liftandshift onpremise to cloudnative migrations and inplace refactoring. They will conduct testing configure Azure services to meet agency objectives and collaborate with stakeholders while adhering to confidentiality requirements.
Required Skills:
5 years of strong knowledge of cloud fundamentals.
5 years of experience with single and multicloud strategies and understanding their implications.
5 years of experience designing comprehensive cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
5 years of strong knowledge and experience with Azure network and storage architectures.
5 years of strong knowledge and experience with Azure services such as Azure Key Vault and Entra ID.
5 years of experience with Azure Functions Azure Web Apps/App Services containers microservices architecture and serverless architecture.
5 years of demonstrated knowledge of cloud security principles including zerotrust network segmentation justintime access and conditional access.
5 years of experience architecting Azure solutions that meet availability objectives including RPO and RTO.
5 years of experience writing professional documentation including position papers and architecture documentation.
5 years of experience managing cloudbased security posture activities such as vulnerability remediation perimeter defense architecture and encryption in transit.
5 years of experience in DevOps including Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
5 years of experience with data storage products like SQL Server and Oracle as well as nonrelational databases like Cosmos DB.
5 years of experience as an onpremise architect.
5 years of strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and business audiences.
2 years of holding a Microsoft Certification in Azure Solutions Architect (must upload certification under reference tab).
Advise the agency on Azure architecture and security best practices including inplace migrations and application refactoring.
Recommend strategies for liftandshift and onpremise to cloudnative migrations.
Provide guidance on refactoring applications within the existing Azure environment.
Conduct testing within Azure to demonstrate minimum viable products (MVPs) for proposed architectures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of available offerings from COV MSI and other connected entities to ensure optimal solutions.
Configure Azurebased services in alignment with agencylevel objectives and technical requirements.
Comply with confidentiality requirements including signing a NonDisclosure Agreement (NDA).
