Description:

The Materials Coordinator plays a vital role in supply chain management by forecasting requirements for raw materials and other resources to meet operational needs. This position involves analyzing data performing costbenefit analyses coordinating requisitions and managing inventory to ensure efficiency and costeffectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with materials production and engineering teams both domestically and internationally to meet customer needs in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Identify and target areas for cost reduction to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Manage inventory accuracy while focusing on process improvements.
  • Analyze the root causes of inventory issues and develop programs and procedures to eliminate them.
  • Assist in developing a formal supplier evaluation procedure including essential metrics for ontime delivery accuracy of fulfillment quality of materials and pricing comparisons.
  • Oversee distribution capabilities quality processes and corrective action procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of a reporting and tracking system with mechanisms for monthly consolidations of the value of materials returned and credits issued.
  • Stay current with industry trends and seek opportunities to improve repair and return management practices by benchmarking toplevel companies.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Economics Finance or Engineering.
  • 47 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with international shipping and dealing with international requirements for invoices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Access with some experience in Oracle SAP.
  • Detailoriented with strong communication skills and the patience to work effectively with others.
