Job Description
Alexandria Public Schools Community Education offers a wide variety of youth and adult programs throughout the year. Community Education is looking for creative energetic and personable people who have a passion for families and have outstanding customer service skills to join our dynamic team.
Recreation Coaches/Assistants support gymnastics basketball football and multiple other youth and adult sports. Recreational sports exist for kids to develop a love of sports learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork and to have fun.
The Recreation Coaches/Assistants are often appealing to high school and college students looking for money or considering a career in teaching or child development.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Essential Functions
- Responsible for all aspects of directing the teams practice and play in games.
- Coach and/or assist with a small group of students emphasizing skill development safety fair play sportsmanship and fun.
- Be responsible for team equipment.
- Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit.
- Work well collaboratively and independently.
Compensation: $16$18 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
