Position Overview: As the Director of Construction you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations for Knobelsdorff ensuring the successful of projects from start to finish. This role demands a strategic leader with strong field operations experience excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and analyze data to drive project success. You will be responsible for coordinating across departments ensuring safety and compliance and delivering projects on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate would be based out of Minnesota or Illinois but not required. Minimum travel requirements will be 50.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field operations ensuring projects are executed efficiently on schedule and within budget.
- Lead and manage project teams including site managers foremen subcontractors and other personnel.
- Develop review and monitor project budgets and schedules using datadriven insights to ensure project success.
- Implement best practices for safety quality control and compliance on all construction sites.
- Use data and project performance metrics to analyze progress identify challenges and develop actionable solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring satisfaction and identifying potential opportunities for further work.
- Manage procurement of materials resources and equipment optimizing costs and ensuring timely availability.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of construction processes standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project status and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams including estimating project management and engineering to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Represent Knobelsdorff at industry events client meetings and with regulatory authorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of field operations experience in the construction industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage largescale construction projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of project financials including budgets forecasts and cost management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data to make informed decisions and drive performance.
Additional Requirements:
- 50 travel to project sites and client meetings across various locations.

- Must be able to sit stand kneel stoop walk and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
