Step into Your New Role
As aTransportation Civil Engineeryou will be working on cuttingedge multidisciplinary roadway design projects for state agencies and large municipalities in the state of Ohio. You will work closely with our team of civil engineers to support and deliver roadway design projects including incorporation of multimodal facilities traffic calming treatments urban streets roadway designs and modifications accessibility improvements transit network upgrades drainage assessments and designs public and private utility coordination and green infrastructure elements.
This position is available in our Perrysburg OH office.
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical expertise on projects from the conceptual and preliminary engineering design phase to final design.
- Providing technical expertise on projects beyond final design to construction phase services.
- Coordinating with architects bridge environmental geotechnical survey and traffic professionals to complete multidisciplinary project deliverables.
- Assisting project managers in various aspects of roadway design utility infrastructure design and coordination development of construction documents and construction support services.
- Preparing detailed civil design plans specifications cost estimates and bid packages.
- Working with Project Managers to ensure that production of specifications reports and analyses meet scope schedule cost and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- 35 years experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents for roadway design projects.
- EngineerinTraining (EIT) Certificate.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain a license preferred.
- Experience with developing roadway designs in accordance with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
- AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads AutoTURN.
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in 3D roadway models horizontal alignments profiles corridors cross sections grading sidewalk/curb ramps ADA design construction phasing quantity takeoffs and estimates preferred.
