Job Description
Our client is a nationally recognized provider of environmental consulting remediation and field services. They work with industrial commercial and government clients to ensure environmental compliance and safety.
Position Overview
We are hiring an Environmental Laborer / Hydroblast Technician. NO EXPERIECNE REQUIRED. This role will support a variety of industrial cleaning hydroblasting and environmental remediation projects. This handson position involves operating highpressure water blasting equipment performing confined space entry and assisting with hazardous material handling and site cleanup. Candidates must be dependable safetyfocused and able to work in physically demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
*Operate highpressure water blast units to clean tanks piping surfaces and other equipment
*Perform industrial cleaning and hazardous waste removal under the direction of supervisors
*Assist with environmental remediation decontamination and waste handling tasks
*Set up and break down job site equipment and containment zones
*Work in confined spaces on elevated platforms and in potentially hazardous environments
*Properly use and maintain PPE including respirators and chemical suits
*Complete prejob safety checks and follow all safety protocols
*Document work activities including time logs safety inspections and project reports
*Travel to client sites with potential for overtime and overnight stays
Qualifications
*High school diploma or GED preferred
*6 months of industrial labor environmental cleanup or hydroblasting experience preferred
*Ability to lift 50 lbs climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces
*Must be comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding conditions
*Strong work ethic and reliability required
*Must pass drug screening and background check
*Valid drivers license preferred
Preferred Certifications
*OSHA 40Hour HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)
*Confined Space Entry and Rescue
*TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
*First Aid/CPR and Respirator Fit Test
*Experience with vacuum trucks or industrial tank cleaning a plus
