POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager Career Training
As the Senior Manager Career Training with ANEW you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the development implementation and evaluation of training initiatives aimed at preparing individuals for successful entry into apprenticeship programs or family wage careers. This role involves overseeing the design and delivery of comprehensive curriculum ensuring alignment with industry standards and workforce needs. You will lead a team of instructional staff providing guidance support and professional development opportunities to ensure highquality instruction and student success. This role will lead efforts to create inclusive training initiatives that address disparities and provide equitable access to opportunities for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in the construction and building trades as well as transportation careers. This involves collaborating closely with industry partners community organizations and stakeholders to design programs that actively promote diversity close gaps in workforce participation and ensure fair and inclusive pathways to success. Additionally you will oversee program evaluation compliance and reporting efforts to ensure program effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operational Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organizations mission and goals.
- Program Planning: Oversee the planning and coordination of all aspects of the construction pre apprenticeship program scheduling budgeting resource allocation and logistics.
- Operational Oversight: Provide operational oversight to a team of instructors coordinators and outreach/recruitment staff.
- Budget Management: In collaboration with ANEW executive leadership develop and manage all training program budgets including forecasting expenses allocating resources and monitoring expenditures to ensure fiscal sustainability and accountability. Ensure that deliverables are being met forecast trends and design a roadmap for reaching important programmatic milestones. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure fiscal proper reporting and timeliness of deliverables. Monitor financial performance and implement costeffective measures to maximize resources.
- Recruitment and Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to recruit diverse cohorts of pre apprentices including outreach to underrepresented populations and collaboration with communitybased organizations schools and workforce development agencies.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and oversee the design implementation and evaluation of the preapprenticeship program curriculum ensuring alignment with industry standards regulatory requirements and the needs of prospective apprentices.
- Placement and Retention: Develop and work with program staff to implement strategies to enhance retention rates and facilitate successful placement of program graduates into family wage careers within the construction industry ensuring alignment with student skills and interests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the correct and accurate reporting and tracking of retention and placement rates.
- Student Support: Manage the administering of established support services for students prospect and establish new opportunities for support services for students.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and oversee administering of assessments to measure student learning outcomes program effectiveness and instructor performance. Use assessment data to identify areas for improvement and make datadriven decisions to enhance program quality.
- Promotion: Manage the development of marketing materials and promotional strategies to raise awareness of the preapprenticeship program among potential students employers and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations policies and accreditation standards governing preapprenticeship programs. Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies funders and other stakeholders as required. Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve organizational efficiency.
- Safety: Work with ANEW senior leadership to develop and implement plans for emergency preparedness and safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required.
- Construction Trades experience preferred
- Familiarity with workforce development programs highly preferred
- 3 years experience working in a not for profit setting managing budgets support service/career readiness grant deliverables and grant reporting.
- 7 years in a Supervisor or Manager level role at an organization providing job training workforce readiness services or curriculum based adult education
- 5 years experience managing teams of 7 fulltime employees.
- Strong strategic thinking and problemsolving skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing curriculum instructional materials and assessments.
- Exceptional communication emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the organizations mission and values.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Background screening through Washington State Patrol.
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include evening and or weekend.
- Proof of citizenship or other authorization for employment.
- Continuation of employment is contingent upon successfully performing the work described.
- Continuation of this position is dependent on achievement of performance goals and availability of funding.
WORK LOCATION: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:00am 4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SALARY
This position is paid an exempt position with a starting salary range of $95000 $120000 Annually. This position is grant funded and continuation of this position is subject to continuation of funding. The starting salary is based on education and experience. Years experience must be directly related to this position.
BENEFITS
This position is an exempt position. The person in this position is expected to serve a 90day probation period. Benefits will not be included until and unless the position is made permanent which is contingent upon performance evaluation funding board direction and potential redevelopment of the organization and its training/service delivery models. If the position is more than 30/hours per week employer paid medical benefits will include medical dental and vision benefits.
A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pretax contribution at time of payroll posting. Employees at 30/hours a week or greater qualify for full benefits and pay a pretax contribution of $80 per month. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance vacation sick leave and holiday pay.
