Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations including accounting budgeting forecasting and reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP nonprofit accounting standards and donor requirements.
Manage and mentor a team of five finance professionals fostering professional development and a collaborative environment.
Lead the monthend and yearend close processes ensuring accuracy timeliness and completeness of financial records.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process working closely with external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion.
Develop and monitor organizational budgets ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Ensure compliance with all federal state and local financial regulations as well as grant and contract requirements.
Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy risk management and operational decisionmaking.
Oversee cash flow management internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure financial sustainability.
Utilize and optimize financial software systems including Sage Intacct (preferred) to streamline processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
Required:5 years of progressive financial management experience includingmanagement of at least 5 staff.
Required:Significant experience innonprofit finance including managing grants restricted funds and donor reporting.
Required:Strong expertise infinancial reportingand compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
Preferred:Experience withSage Intacctor similar accounting systems.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
Exceptional analytical organizational and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to nonfinancial stakeholders.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required (Masters degree or CPA preferred).
