40Summary:
The Information Technology Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for establishing enterprisewide standards and processes that ensure technology investments are secure stable sustainable available and scalable across the Cook Childrens Health Care System. The enterprise architect role requires complex thinking and strategizing to ascertain which legacy systems can be updated what software or hardware can be replaced and which services or products will support business operations across each department. He or she will identify and drive adoption of applicable industry best practices and enterprise architecture frameworks that include but are not limited to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) and Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). The EA will leverage a combination of dedicated staff and crossfunctional teams that include representatives from infrastructure applications and/or operations to achieve success. This role will be expected to lead by influence. The EA is a key member of the Information Services Leadership Team that will help mentor and develop other staff members and chair the organizations Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC) that will be used to govern the developed enterprise architecture standards and facilitate management of the organizations IT lifecycle.
