Join Our Team as a General Laborer!
Location: 9000 Trinity Blvd Hurst TX 76053
Hours: Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 5 AM
Starting Pay:$17 per hour depending on experience
Job Summary:
SCA is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer. In this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities as a General Laborer:
- You must be comfortable with completing work in oncoming traffic. You will have protection by TMA vehicles.
- Duties to include driving a pickup truck physically picking up debris (to include but not limited to litter debris furniture tires etc. and placing in caged bed of truck.
- Clean various highway locations in and surrounding metroplex assigned daily.
- Required to make numerous stops and exiting truck to remove debris/trash from highway shoulders and adjacent edges of highway shoulders.
- Wear proper and required PPE
- Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted and maintain quality of work
- Report any equipment failures near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor within 15 Minutes
- Perform labor duties as required by team lead/Supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
- Valid Drivers License
- Good Driving Record
- Ability to pass employment and random drug test
- Ability to follow directions work a GPS and tablet and be able to adjust to the work environment
- Proper work attire (pants shirt with short sleeve at a minimum) above the ankle work boots and required PPE
- High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
- Requires work performed in outdoor environments/Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise vibrations jarring fumes grease oil & chemicals.
- Active physical work involving occasionally; lifting 50 lbs) carrying pushing pulling stooping kneeling crouching bending reaching. Frequently walking standing driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
- Requires focus adjustment depth perception clear close & distant vision. Use of ear eye and other safety equipment.
- Requires regular use of hands to finger handle feel or operate objects tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Requires regular use of eyes shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors
