Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing professional services and strategy firm specializing in government contracting who is seeking a skilled Project Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting and professional services with a deep understanding of financial management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize the Unanet Govcon ERP system to manage and optimize project operations.
Set up new contracts projects tasks and work assignments within the ERP system.
Prepare project management reports including performance margin and funding analyses.
Collaborate with the operations team to price deals ensuring a minimum of 40 margin.
Populate project budgets based on work orders and update employee assignments accordingly.
Reforecast monthly work assignments to facilitate scheduling updates to the manpower plan.
Conduct variance analytics and prepare supporting reports for invoices as needed.
Coordinate with the contracts department on pricing input payment terms and statements of work.
Support operations leads with project cost and margin reports.
Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn new systems and applications.
Requirements:
510 years of project finance support experience preferably within government contracting or professional services.
Experience with contract and purchase order processes including service agreements SOWs POs and modifications.
Understanding of Professional Services Contracts particularly Time and Material and Fixed Price contracts for GOVCONs.
A degree in accounting finance or a related field.
