Job Description
Within the role of Acquisition Management Analyst you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO) thatresponsible for managing a major defense weapon systems development. You will perform critical acquisition planning management and reporting to inform acquisition and contracting decisions that will ensure program success.
Hiring Timeframe:Immediate
Work Location:This position is a hybrid rolein Arlington VA 2 days/week on site).Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1500 annually to your Transportation FSA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform critical program management technical or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success
- Participates as a member of and/or supports the overall PMO
- Apply knowledge of the principles policies and practices of program management and systems acquisition to inform the planning organization and coordination of critical aspects of the development production deployment and sustainment of aircraftsystems subsystems and equipment
- Track and report program/project status to include cost schedule and performance
- Perform EVM tracking and analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- EducationRequirement:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other related discipline
- OR Associates Degree plus four 4 years of additional relevant work experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other related discipline
- Work Experience Requirements:
- At least three 3 years of experience in program management technical or business analysis discipline in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
- At least four 4 years out of eight 8 of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
- At least two 2 years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
- Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBS Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR) Work Requests Requisitions Data Item Descriptions (DID)Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) and DD254 is required
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or familiarity with the DoD 5000 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) series of policy and guidance Federal and DoD acquisition regulations and the Defense Planning Programming Budgeting and (PPBE) process
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with DoD reporting tools and major reports
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
- Familiarity DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03 (International Agreements) and the International Cooperation in Acquisition Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
- 5thGeneration Fighter acquisition management experience
- F35 Lightning II program knowledge and expertise
- Experience with and knowledge of acquisition challenges associated with a Contractor Supported Weapon System (CSWS)
Salary Range:The proposedsalary range for this position is $85000 $95000per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location skills experience training certifications contractspecific affordability and organizational needs.
