The Opportunity:
We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Gaming Engineer to join an innovative digital project at the cutting edge of interactive development.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting creative and technically challenging initiative for a leading central government client so if youre passionate about game development and thrive in collaborative Agile environments wed love to hear from you!
Skills and Experience:
- Strong handson experience with Unreal Engine or Godot in a commercial environment.
- Solid understanding of web technologies and responsive frontend development.
- Background in working in Agile teams including active participation in ceremonies.
- Knowledge of application performance optimisation and tuning best practices.
- Familiarity with security remediation and a focus on secure coding standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remotefirst setup.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance features and functionality using game engines such as Godot or Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams by actively participating in Agile ceremonies and project planning sessions.
- Provide accurate time estimates for the delivery of features within sprint cycles.
- Implement responsive mobilefriendly web layouts to ensure a consistent user experience across all devices.
- Carry out performance tuning of applications and databases based on testing feedback.
- Address and remediate security vulnerabilities identified in penetration testing.
- Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and best practice guidelines.
- Continuously seek ways to improve development processes and tools to boost efficiency and output quality.
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews 710 days).
