Position OverviewAs a marketing communications intern youll get handson training about everything it takes to run a communications and public relations office. This position is fastpaced and requires weekly blogging daily social media content creation and engagement and event management support as needed. Youll work as part of the communications team with the director of communications communications coordinator video producer and graphic designer. Youll research and write about businessrelated topics. The position provides the opportunity for experience in multiple aspects of a busy marketing communications office. The primary focus of the position is strategic communication skills but a knowledge of digital analytics would be helpful. By the end of this time you will have a diverse portfolio of work samples and experiences.

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1 have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2 be preenrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3 be enrolled in summer session or 4 be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
