InStore Sales Driver Trainee
Location: Jamestown ND
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an In store sales Driver Trainee to join our team located in Jamestown ND. The In store sales Driver Trainee isresponsible for daily order management within strategic accounts. By partnering with plant level purchasing contacts the goal is to ensure adequate product supply and replenishment.

Driver Sponsorship Program Summary
Enroll and complete a formal driver training program through a thirdparty operated school. - Course requirements include a minimum of 120 hours of both behindthewheel and classroom instruction with a minimum of 40 hours of behindthewheel preferred.
- Receive pay to complete all course instruction during the first few weeks of employment.
- Attain a Class A or B CDL license with applicable endorsements based on company needs.
- Guaranteed fulltime local driving position (home nightly) with Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. upon attainment of a CDL with all applicable endorsements.
Covered Program Expenses
Course or program instruction - Course or program required materials
- Onetime fees associated with obtaining a CDL such as test taking fee equipment rental for driving test if applicable (one time only) DOT drug/alcohol and medical exams if not covered by the school or program
- Initial fees for required certifications (tanker airbrake hazmat medical card etc.
What you will be doing:
- Visit a predetermined list of strategic customers on a daily basis that require Vendor Managed inventory (cylinders/hardgoods)
- Ensure accuracy of the order pricing and processing in JDE.
- Convert order in to customer PO format and email to purchasing department (As Required)
- Deliver product to customers as needed
- Clearly communicate with GSM TM and distribution supervisors
- Identify/Document Prostar conversion opportunities and meet quarterly with TMs to review.
- Assist TMs with cylinder audits
- Write credit memos when customers return hard goods while taking orders on site.
- Looks for opportunities to convert customer to PDI Express EDI payments etc. opportunities to reduce transaction costs.
- Goes on join calls with TMs to new customers as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What makes you great:
- High School Diploma Required (Bachelors preferred)
- Excel / JDE / Computer skills
- Strong written and Oral communication skills
- Ability to attend all classes or instruction.
- No preventable accidents license suspensions or other moving violations in the past two 2 years.
- No DUI or similar type convictions within the last ten 10 years.
- Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical (Physical not scheduled until after offer has been extended.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Reached the age of 21 years or older.
- Ability to obtain CDL Permit prior to beginning course instruction.
- Ability to obtain CDL License upon completion of course instruction
