Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced medical physicist to join our growing radiation oncology team at the comprehensive cancer center located in Tallahassee Florida.

This fulltime position is for a progressive handson physicist with clinical experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential as well as interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment where collaboration and support between colleagues is encouraged. The clinical medical physicist is expected to actively participate in all aspects of radiotherapy quality assurance and implementation of new equipment and techniques. The candidate will be joining 3 radiation oncologists 2.5 FTE physicists 4.5 FTE dosimetrists currently treating an average of80patients per day.

Our treatment services include IGRT VMAT SRS/SBRT and HDR/LDR brachytherapy utilizing Varian accelerators (one Novalis Tx two Clinac iX) a GammaMedplus HDR afterloader and a GE Discovery RT CT simulator. Our EMR and planning software consists of Aria Eclipse (v16/15.6 iPlan and Velocity and we have a host of Sun Nuclear QA equipment. The center is in the process of replacing the current linacs with the latest technology available from Varian.

• Must have completed an approved masters level training program in Medical Physics as approved by the American Association of Medical Physicists.
• Two 2 years of directly related experience.
• Required Certification/License/Registry: Must possess and maintain current State of Florida Department of Business and Professional RegulationTherapeutic Radiological Physicist certificate.
