Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health the manager is responsible for the development daily clinical operations and direct patient care delivery of Outpatient Therapeutic Services. The Clinical Manager will oversee the administrative fiscal and clinical needs of the Outpatient Therapeutic Services. The Manager role is multifaceted and includes meeting of clinical benchmarks for quality care and productivity ensuring proper care is being provided in accordance with program contracts/regulations fiscal responsibility development and ongoing clinical and administrative staff development and program planning.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the daytoday operations of Outpatient Therapeutic Services. Implement and maintain the Psychiatry Departments philosophy principles and procedures in all clinical services and operational functions.
  • Provide leadership to all Outpatient Therapeutic Service lines through clinical supervision and reviews consultation training and support to ensure compliance and program quality according to MAHEC Policies and Procedures and EvidenceBased Practices.
  • Evaluate individual and overall team performance on a regular and ongoing basis; use collected data and information to make needed improvements including adjustments as needed to caseloads and work assignments to maximize quality of care and staff productivity.
  • Ensures that participant and program goals (program financial personnel professional development and trainings) are met in accordance with established contract program policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in the development of program budgets and monitors program performance according to set budget guidelines.
  • Actively monitor assigned supervisees performance goals and professional development in accordance with agency and contract expectations.
  • Interview and hire staff to maintain approved staffing levels.
  • Maintain records sufficient to meet County State and Federal clinical documentation requirements including preparation for monitoring visits and corrective action plan development and .
  • Oversee and evaluate any consultants independent contractors and/or learners assuring they have the required credentials certifications and/or license for assigned duties.
  • Provide individual family and group therapy to clients using clinical models and modalities approved by the agency and the service definition for children and adolescents who are being referred to mental health and substance abuse services.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments traumascreenings risk assessments and comprehensive crisis plans.
  • Incorporate internal and external collateral information (i.e. CCAs Psychological Testing Medical Evaluations etc. into case conceptualization and treatment planning.
  • Participate in 24/7 oncall duties.
  • Complete documentation required including progress notes treatment plans service authorization requests and clinical intakes at colocation offices when applicable within the time frame specified.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • COMPUTER
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint and database applications required.
  • FOREIGN LANGUAGE
    • Spanish speaking skills preferred.
  • Direct supervision of Psychiatry Outpatient Therapeutic Services including but not limited to ClinicBased Therapy Rapid Response Therapist Intensive Outpatient Program Peer Support Specialists
  • Clinical supervision of LCSWA or LCMHCA as appropriately licensed

REQUIRED LICENSES:

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Masters Degree or PhD in one of the Behavioral Health/Social Services sciences
    • Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in North Carolina.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • At least two years of supervisory/management experience in human services
    • At least two years of clinical experience in crisis assessment and treatment with multisystem families.
    • Meet North Carolina criteria for Clinical Supervision.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in the State of North Carolina.

SCHEDULE:

Regular attendance onsite is an essential function of this position. Typical business hours are Monday Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend holiday or evening coverage is occasionally required. Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments or evening activities as requested by the team leader.
