BAC - Stationhand

New Hope is currently seeking a Stationhand to work within its successful Bengalla Agricultural Company (BAC) a farming grazing and land management enterprise located near Muswellbrook.

BAC works closely with its stakeholders to develop and operate sustainable farming practices including carbon projects and regenerative farming practices.

This position is a permanent fulltime position.

About the role:

Reporting to the BAC Assistant Manager and part of a small team you will be enthusiastic and motivated with an interest in working in mixed farming will support the BAC Assistant Manager and team in all agriculturalactivities.

You will be responsible for:

• Cattle handling in a safe and humane manner
• Work safely in accordance with BACs WHS Management Plan
• Operate farming machinery and carry out regular maintenance
• Assist with paddock fallow planting and cultivation processes
• Operate and maintain irrigation equipment
• Ensure that safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

What youll bring:

Youre passionate about agriculture have demonstrated relationship skills within a farming community.

• Some experience in livestock handling and farm machinery operation
• A history of being self motivated and reliable team player
• Basic computer skills
• A current manual drivers licence (HR licence would be advantageous)
• Commitment to a culture of safety for team and yourself
