Job Description

Our fastpaced Adult ER is seeking an dynamic Nurse Manager. Our medical centers Adult Emergency Department has 50 treatment spaces which includes 36 beds and 14 vertical treatment spaces. We have a new Behavioral Health unit that has 24 treatment spaces. Our ER Manager collaborates with the BHU Nurse Manager. The Nurse managers are responsible for managing one or more defined areas of patient care services. Nurse managers advocate for and allocate available resources to promote efficient effective safe and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice. They promote shared decisionmaking and professional autonomy by providing input their own and that of their staff into executivelevel decisions and by keeping staff informed of executive level activities and vice versa.
Who should apply:
- Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
- Masters degree in Nursing or related field required (i.e. health care administration or business administration). If Masters degree is not in nursing must hold BSN.
- Qualified applicants can be placed in the position if they hold a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and agree to complete a Masters degree in nursing or related field. Steady progress toward degree completion is defined as a minimum of 9 credits per calendar year from the time they begin coursework. Course work must begin within 6 months of moving into the position.
- Minimum of five 5 years clinical experience in health care setting required of which at least three 3 years must include administrative and supervisory responsibilities or equivalent in education and experience.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse by the State of Maryland.
- Must maintain current CPR certification.
- Nationally recognized certification in nursing administration and/or an appropriate specialty preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum$53.15/hour Maximum$82.38/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
