Job Description
Position Summary
ThePhysician Liaisonfor the Physician Outreach office will be responsible for a variety of support and coordination of activities as it relates to Physician Outreach. The incumbent is responsible for providing back up administrative support and coordination for all daily activities.
Duties of thePhysician Liaisonfor the Physician Outreach officemay include the following but are not limited to:
- Visit community physician practices on throughout Long Island on a quarterly basis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and their practice managers.
- Maintain physician data in HNA pertaining to community physicians.
- Maintain the physician outreach email database and send email blasts as needed.
- Responsible for patient connections in the portal that come in by phone and email.
- Attend take notes and do follow up for the various committee meetings such as the liaison committee.
- Manage event planning
- Assists with the management of the community physician portal.
- Facilitate physician to physician meetings as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Selected candidate may need to work on Saturdays/Sundays based on events and the needs of the department.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree with at least 3 years of sales marketing and/or outreach experience or in lieu of a Bachelors degree Associates degree with at least 4 years of healthcare setting experience to include at least 1 year of community outreach and/or event planning experience. Active and current NYS Drivers License.Good interpersonal skills relationship building skills needed to build solid relationships with honest team player.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs especially Word and written and verbalcommunication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of physician practice network. Physician Liaison experience. Experience with a major hospital system with physician practices.

Posting Overview: This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date. - This function/position maybe designated as essential. This means that when the Hospital is faced with an institutional emergency employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect recover and continue operations at Stony Brook Medicine Stony Brook University Hospital and related facilities.
Prior to start date the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Successfully complete preemployment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicines Employee Health Services*
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three 3 professional references.
- Successfully complete a 4panel drug screen*
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
*The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $58681 $72828 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUHs good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidates validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
- Location pay for UUP fulltime positions $3400
