Job Description

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Are you a technology program leader interested in delivering business critical services at AWS We have an opportunity for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) organization and are looking for a program leader who is ready to transform AWSs identity management landscape.

What you will do:
In this role you will drive delivery for key technologies in the AWS ecosystem. You will work closely with customers across AWS providing strategic services that raise the bar for identity management security and integration. You will be joining a group of technology leaders that delight our customers while driving AWS forward. As a TPM you will be responsible for driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. You will establish the overall program vision and implementation roadmap anticipating bottlenecks mitigating risks quantify and rationalizing tradeoffs and balancing the business needs against technical constraints. You will provide technical leadership that gets software services built and integrated into the AWS ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders across various design software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with longterm product roadmaps. You will build for a global audience delivering secure highly scalable highly available services for all of your customers.

Key job responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have a strong TPM/PM background with demonstrated experience leading crossorganizational technical programs and will have a deep technical background in building of the identity directory solutions and improving its security posture. The candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills strong project management and time management skills and have a successful track record of delivering largescale engineering programs. The desire and ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment is essential.

A day in the life
* Drive the program roadmap in alignment with business strategies and priorities
* Act as the technical interface between the customers partner teams and the software development team
* Run in front of the software development team helping define user stories research appropriate technical solutions and provide guidance to the team regarding architecture design and priorities
* Translate feature requests into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions
* Apply project management and Agile methodology skills to manage scope plan work coordinate resource deployment on tasks analyze risks/develop mitigation strategies and proactively identify and resolve issues
* Help make the right feature tradeoffs to ship software without compromising customer experience or business relevance
* Engage with many teams across the company evangelizing the team and your project building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals
* Provide leadership and perspective and drive stakeholders to decisions in ambiguous situations
* Apply continuous improvement methodologies to analyze and understand existing processes and workflows

5 years of technical product or program management experience
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
