Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $17.85 $20.00 hourly NonExempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 40 hours per week
- 100 Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to operate efficiently and effectively In a large volume dish washing position. This position provides support to production staff service staff and customers by providing clean and sanitary dishes and cooking equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Washing Dishes service equipment and production equipment
- Operates dish machine according to instructions and informs production manager when supply of detergent or other chemicals are low.
- Checks the temperature gauges throughout the day
- Reports any machine failure to the production manager
- Sorts dishes silverware trays and pans; washes them; returns them to their designated storage areas
- Checks dishes silverware trays and pans to insure proper cleaning and sanitation
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the dish room area
- Maintains a clean and sanitary dish room
- Keeps all tray and dish carts clean
- Disassembles scrubs washes sanitizes and reassembles dish machine daily
- Polishes exterior of machine weekly
- Sprays out pulper and grease traps daily
- Cleans conveyor belt daily
Supervises student employees
- Train student staff in the proper procedures of dish machine operation
Required Competencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in various temperatures associated with dish machine operations
- Able to stand/walk 4 to 4 hours at a time
- Able to move 35 50 pounds.
- Is selfmotivated needs very little supervision
- Optimistic attitude high degree of integrity and a strong work ethic
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 Years of Age
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students and special needs staff
- ServSafe Certified
- Experience with the materials and equipment used in the food service business
- Certification of completion of the Applied Foodservice Sanitation Course
