Description
Our client is looking for an HVAC Technician to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance servicing and repair work on air conditioning and refrigeration systems supervising HVAC Assistants and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance servicing and repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
Maintain temperaturecontrolled and relative humidity (RH) controlled areas
Supervise and coordinate the work of HVAC Assistants
Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently and timeously
Install HVAC components and systems including split units and control systems
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC faults
Maintain filters (primary secondary and HEPA) in accordance with regulations
Complete and record service documentation
Oversee HVACrelated projects
Communicate daily with the Line Manager
Ensure highquality output and uphold good housekeeping practices
Ensure all HVAC work is performed in a safe manner in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards
Conduct safety audits on HVAC systems ducting and environmental controls
Requirements:
Matric
HVAC / Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Trade Test
3 to 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems (pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous)
Strong skills in testing troubleshooting and faultfinding
Good understanding of electrical and control circuits
Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of cGMP and GEP principles (advantageous)
