Job Description
Position Description: The Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Childrens Wisconsin (CW) seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Pediatric Dermatology Division. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care. MCW hasapproximately 1600fulltime and parttime faculty andapproximately 3445fulltime employees. Childrens Wisconsin and Childrens Specialty Group Childrens Wisconsin is the states only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and wellbeing of children. With more than 1.3 million annual connections with kids and families statewide Childrens provides a wide range of care and support everything from routine care to lifesaving advances and treatment options foster care and adoption services child advocacy and provides an insurance plan. Childrens and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin the Childrens Specialty Group (CSG) are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Childrens Surgery Verification Center Level I Pediatric Trauma Center Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence 72bed Level IV NICU Level IV Epilepsy Center and a 72bed PICU. InCW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers CSG providers had 220000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites 67000 emergency department/trauma center visits and over 9000 admissions. Milwaukee Milwaukee the largest city in Wisconsin is located on Lake Michigans western shore. A metropolitan area with more than 1.5 million people Milwaukee is an affordable comfortable place to live work and play big enough to be exciting and uncongested enough to get around easily. Milwaukees many neighborhoods have incredible charm accommodating a variety of lifestyles from highrise apartments to small farms. Nestled along a magnificent bluff overlooking Lake Michigan Milwaukees downtown is home to botanical gardens museums a theater district the world champion Milwaukee Bucks the Milwaukee Brewers and many fine restaurants. The lake and its harbors are skirted by scenic parklands and provide firstclass opportunities for recreation including hiking cycling boating and more. Position Requirements: Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Dermatology. Rank upon appointment will be commensurate with experience.
