Job Description

This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent fulltime positions working 75 biweekly. It will establish a 12month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This opportunity
This position RN Supervisor work in collaboration with all Program Managers and are part of the leadership team in a transdisciplinary setting. Responsible for overseeing the operations of Continuing Care Facilities during their assigned shifts including providing professional nursing care to facility residents and managing medical emergencies managing/supervising the transdisciplinary care team and overseeing building security and emergency procedures as needed

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Current registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority
- Recently applied knowledge of nursing theory practices & techniques normally acquired through work experience while working with seniors adults and/or children preferably in a longterm care environment
- Recent experience in a Supervisory role that has provided supervision performance management and performance evaluations.

Conditions of employment
You must meet the following conditions before being hired or within the time frame noted.
- TB screening
- Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- CPR Level HCP (completed within last 18 months)
- Food Safe level 1
- Transportation Dangerous Goods
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid class 5 Drivers License
- Current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association.
Job requirements
This job requires you to perform and/or be exposed to the following:
- Shift work
- Exposure to animals latex products second hand smoke from residents
